The project uses a 24-kilowatt-hour fixed storage EnerDel battery pack, originally designed for the THINK City electric vehicle. Three Mazda Demios (sold outside of Japan as the Mazda2), have been converted to a battery electric drive powered by EnerDel Li-ion battery packs.

Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. We'll also be taking Burning Man art projects off petroleum generators by switching them to solar electricity.

Think has also established partnerships in the U.S. Think Global was formerly known as Think City, a prior Ford Motor Company ( F ) acquisition and part of a now-defunct Think division at Ford. The Think City was short-lived in the States with production halting in 2002 after just 1005 cars had been assembled.

For instance, they may have solar panels on their roof or could, via their utility, opt for energy from renewable sources. Of course, everything has its drawbacks and one problem with charging at home is that it is not an option available for some city dwellers.
