The basic question addressed, which appears on the study homepage (epri-reports.org) is this: How would air quality and greenhouse gas emissions be affected if significant numbers of Americans drove cars that were fueled by the power grid? And the grid is getting cleaner and more renewable every year.

French construction company Bouygues Immobilier is working on an office in Meudon, western Paris, which uses 4,000 square metres of solar panels to meet not only its own energy needs but also to export surplus energy back to the power grid. The coal ash is known to have many toxic metals and other pollutants.
