The Honda 3R-C, a new one-person battery electric vehicle concept, will make its world debut in Geneva alongside the EV-N concept, previously shown at the Tokyo Motor Show ( earlier post ), which will be displayed for the first time in Europe. Two of Honda’s U3-X, electric personal mobility devices are attached to the inside of each door.

Hydropower and wind power are the major sources of incremental renewable electricity supply. In non-OECD Asia, for example, the reference case projects that energy use for personal motor vehicles (light-duty cars and trucks, as well as two- and three-wheel vehicles) will increase by 3.6% per year from 2006 to 2030.

The partners had a prototype on display in Munich (and the previous week at Eurobike) with a robust cargo three-wheel e-bike made by Bayk. The pedals turn the crank running through a standard brushless DC machine inside: fixed coil copper windings around an iron core are arranged within the cylinder as the generator stator.

(Credit: GM) General Motors and Segway plan to take a two-wheel concept vehicle for a spin around New York City on Tuesday. The prototype vehicle, called Project PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility), is designed to ease congestion and pollution problems in cities. You could even call it Personal On-demand Driving.
