This initiative, which begins in 2022, is part of GM’s recently announced commitment to invest nearly $750 million to expand home, workplace and public charging infrastructure through its Ultium Charge 360 ecosystem. These charging stations will be available to all EV customers, not just those who purchase a GM EV.
A multi-million dollar federal government scheme providing up to $2500 to install an electric vehicle smartcharger will commence this month. Up to $2500 will be offered per eligible smart EV charger that has been purchased and installed on-site. The guidelines for that part of the program are yet to be announced.
Hendy, the UK’s premier family motor group, has announced myenergi as its exclusive partner for EV home chargers. As part of the agreement, Hendy will promote the myenergi zappi as its charger of choice, with the two companies working closely together to accelerate the transition to electrification.
Set to be rolled out across hospitals in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Humber, the collaboration with NHS Humber Health Partnership will offer employees a significant discount when purchasing a zappi EV charger. Instead, if drivers are sat waiting for their EV to charge, CaaS sees this free time used as a tool to encourage purchase behaviour – think free charging at supermarkets, or the development of charging ‘destinations’ featuring shopping centres, retail facilities and restaurants.
