This initiative, which begins in 2022, is part of GM’s recently announced commitment to invest nearly $750 million to expand home, workplace and public charging infrastructure through its Ultium Charge 360 ecosystem. These charging stations will be available to all EV customers, not just those who purchase a GM EV.

A multi-million dollar federal government scheme providing up to $2500 to install an electric vehicle smart charger will commence this month. Up to $2500 will be offered per eligible smart EV charger that has been purchased and installed on-site. The guidelines for that part of the program are yet to be announced.

Hendy, the UK’s premier family motor group, has announced myenergi as its exclusive partner for EV home chargers. As part of the agreement, Hendy will promote the myenergi zappi as its charger of choice, with the two companies working closely together to accelerate the transition to electrification.

For example, the OLEV electric car grant scheme which is designed to support the purchase and installation of an electric charger was lowered from £1000 to £500 in 2018 and then most recently lowered to £350, which is still a saving worth taking advantage of whilst it is still available. I happen to think that the Superchargers aren’t more reliable because they use a different connector, but because there’s one company making the cars and the chargers, and running the network, and that’s no longer the case, now that other automakers and other charging networks are getting involved.
