Power, but not enough efficiency to hit 30 mpg. The EPA fuel economy numbers of 21 mpg city/26 highway/23 combined are almost exactly what we got covering 301 miles driving through Southern California. We were hoping to get 30 mpg on the highway, but no matter how hard we tried the best we could do was 28.1

Oh, and could you get used to 32 miles of all-electric driving and 30+ mph when in hybrid mode? It has challenging mountain roads heading 2,000 feet up and down, full of tight turns, a relatively high-speed swath along the summit (50 mph), a freeway stretch back in the valley, and even some slow-speed city driving. 4 through the route I encountered more traffic than usual so ended up with an average speed of 34 mph.
