The six GEM passenger and utility models are legal on most streets with posted speeds of 35 mph or less.

Motorcycles, three-wheeled vehicles, neighborhood electric vehicles, and other non-conventional passenger vehicles are not desired and will be deemed non-responsive to the announcement. The classes of vehicles that are covered range from light duty passenger vehicles to medium and heavy duty over-the-road trucks.

Although charging infrastructure is beginning to find its way into cities, it may be awhile until they are available in residential neighborhoods en masse. ↓ ↑ report 16 Vlad 10:25AM (4/10/2009) I dont think that home-charging is even a question and that it will be universally available soon.
