Cheers PHEV3A'rs, EVADC'rs, and EVnthusiasts, One & All - In early afternoon, the "Spirit of DC" left Chuck Olson's place in Santa Clara with a registration reading of 99.9MPG for 8 miles and a topped off battery pack. At 13 miles, it was still 99.9MPG going roughly 32MPH. Santa Cruz run showed 99.9MPG for 50 miles.

With these performance-oriented bits, the EPA range drops from 270 miles to 260. When we first tested the range of the Mach-E on our 456-mile test loop last year, we were impressed with the Premium RWD Extended Range version. On that trip, we achieved a range of 249 miles on the uphill section and 313 miles on the downhill section.

En route to Santa Monica, the "Spirit" did a few towns: First Run was to Sierra Vista. Next, the "Spirit" go her synthetic Mobil One oil change at Sierra Toyota. EVJerr even signed up for the 2009 Prius PHEV, too! A Historic first at Sierra Toyota. Second Run was to University of Arizona in Tucson.
