However, because of the duty cycle used by the Postal Service, which generally amounts to only about 18-20 miles per day on a fixed route, these vehicles are being built without the range extender seen on the concept. Thats such a pretty metallic blue; I would love to see these postal vehicles around my neighborhood. Looks sharp.

Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? We always seem to hear that one coming from a mile away. Until then, we can always program the ESS to make what Lotus refers to as "more futuristic sounds for electric vehicles [that] can be created using sampled sounds and generated waveforms."

Of course, everything has its drawbacks and one problem with charging at home is that it is not an option available for some city dwellers. Although charging infrastructure is beginning to find its way into cities, it may be awhile until they are available in residential neighborhoods en masse. every 40 miles or so.
