Waymo to launch robotaxis in Tokyo in early 2025

Waymo announced that it is partnering with Japanese taxi company Nihon Kotsu for the initial phase, where human drivers will operate Waymos cars so that the software can map the city. In early 2025, the company will begin testing its Jaguar I-PACE vehicles in Tokyo, with plans to stay in the region for the foreseeable future.
