California’s EV market continues to grow, according to data gathered by Veloz , a non-profit which tracks and reports on growing electric vehicle (EV) sales data in California, market trends, and infrastructure build-out. The market share of electric vehicles in California jumped from roughly 12% to 16.32% in the quarter.

MINI increased worldwide vehicle sales by 3.3% Sales of MINI models with electrified drive systems climbed by 64.3% to 53,243 vehicles—around 18% of total worldwide sales in 2021. The MINI Electric even managed to almost double its sales (plus 98.2%). to 302,144 units 2021. This rate is only surpassed by Iceland.

The California Center for Jobs & The Economy has released an updated report ( earlier post ) on the progress of ZEV sales in the state during the first half of 2020, drawing on sales data from the California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA). Sales nationally were down 23.5%. million by 2025. in H1 2019 to 5.8% in H1 2020.

Volvo Cars reported global sales of 51,286 cars in February, up 22% compared to the same month last year and a record for the month of February. The sales growth was led by the company’s Recharge line up of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars. China sales reached 13,066 cars, up 50% compared with February last year.
