With choices of gasoline or a gasoline-electric (hybrid) engine, rear-wheel (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), the 2022 Tundra gives buyers multiple options of power and fuel economy. Fuel economy numbers have not been announced, but the same gasoline-hybrid power plant in the Toyota Tundra pickup gets 20 mpg city/24 highway/22 combined. The 2023 Sequoia is easy-to-drive with its balanced ride coming from the fully boxed frame that it shares with the Toyota Tundra, Land Cruiser and Lexus LX. Smooth Performer.
In terms of fuel economy, the Nissan offers a claimed 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway on the rear-drive models. Meanwhile, the hybridized Toyota is supposed to offer up to 22 MPG city and 24 MPG on the highway. Going 4x4 with the Frontier brings those numbers down to 17 city and 22 on the highway.
