Two companies—AmpUp and EVSE—announced recently that they had been contracted by the Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting to add 150 chargers to streetlight poles in the city. Seattle in 2022 announced plans to install curbside EV chargers, albeit only by request.

I could drive a Class 8 truck over a light-duty charger, and it will activate one pad of that truck and still charge. It’s in the pavement at a bus stop in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
