Just as there is an Apple ecosystem, so with home and EV battery systems you could wind up with a Ford setup, a Tesla setup, or a VW setup. Not so independent.

Apart from the price, the only other drawback fo the car is its suspension. At that price point, one would have expected some creature comforts - but like the Tigor most of the money is spent on giving the car that solid LFP pack. The price point is such that the cab operator would have to be charge at least Rs.

But it is a price that must be paid, and GM should be commended for remaining committed to the Volt. If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Not really sure where all the money is going, but it seems like the Volt is already over-priced and under performing.
