E10, which is a mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% petrol can be used in existing vehicles, without any need for modification. the GHG emissions are ~50% lower than that for petrol.

A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. Yes GM will lose $ on the Volt, just like the first Insights or Priuss, but unlike Toyota or Honda, they just cant afford to wait for it to catch on and become profitable.
