Zoltek is a large two carbon fiber manufacturer; large tow carbon fiber is carbon fiber with 40,000 or more filaments applied for applications such as wind turbine blades and reinforced plastics compounds, and is produced on modified acrylic staple fiber production lines for textiles. Toray Industries, Inc. is acquiring Zoltek Companies, Inc.

Components for the production of batteries at Audi’s Brussels plant will no longer be delivered by truck from Hungary, but by rail with DB Cargo. The switch in means of delivery between Hungary and Brussels, which was started in May and is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of 2023, is a preview of the car manufacturer’s future.

Both of these efforts would take a massive, not-yet-secured financial investment.

In the future, 100% of additional purchased electricity will come from verifiable renewable sources, such as wind- and hydropower. In Kecskemét (Hungary), a second plant under construction will be CO 2 -neutral.
