New WHO has issued new Global Air Quality Guidelines (AQGs) that reduce levels of key air pollutants, some of which also contribute to climate change. Recommended 2021 AQG levels compared to 2005 air quality guidelines. The goal of the guideline is for all countries to achieve recommended air quality levels. Source: WHO.

Researchers from Texas A&M University, in collaboration with scientists in the Air Force Research Laboratory, have developed guidelines that allow 3D printing of martensitic steels into very sturdy, defect-free objects of nearly any shape. New Zealand has issued new guidelines for electric vehicle manufacturers and importers to provide clarity about the regulations and rules for the safe use of electric vehicles in New Zealand. In particular, the guidelines provide direction for consistency of plugs and how to charge electric vehicles safely.

Under the emerging J2954 guidelines, communications for wireless charging will use DSRC. The SAE Taskforce on wireless charging and positioning of electric vehicles (SAE J2954) ( earlier post ) is progressing, and is slated to have a final draft of the guideline this year, according to the Society of Automotive Engineers, International (SAE).
