From the sale of the first RX 400h in 2005 through to the end of November this year, Lexus has sold more than 506,000 of its hybrid vehicles. At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Lexus introduced the fourth model—and the second hybrid—in the GS range, the GS 300h hybrid, which will be launched at the end of 2013. The new GS 300h is equipped with a second-generation Lexus Hybrid Drive system similar to that installed in the IS 300h.

Toyota has hit the millionth sale milestone for its hybrids in Europe with the delivery of an Auris hybrid to a driver in Germany.
