The title of WhatGreenCar Car of the Year 2009 has been awarded to the ‘next generation’ Toyota Prius, due to be launched in the UK on 1 st August 2009. The new Prius was chosen from a short-list of 10 green car finalists which were test-driven at Imperial College, London, by six of the UK’s leading green transport and environmental experts.

In an interview with Green Car Reports about the debut, Harbinger CEO John Harris said that the company has delivered complete chassis assemblies to customers, and they’re “just about to start using those chasses in revenue-generating operations.” A big gasoline RV normally returns gas mileage in the 6-8 mpg range.

It says the Volt is too little, too lateand too expensive to save the beleaguered automaker, and it recently chastised GM for pumping so much money into the Volt instead of developing more fuel-efficient gasoline cars. It offers 18 models that deliver 30 mpg or more. Thats short-sighted. GM is developing more fuel-efficient vehicles.
