Well, it seems that Americans, while not necessarily ‘over’ their love of large, gas guzzling cars, are at least taking steps in the right direction. According to statistics from the Department of Transport, US motorists are fleeing their beloved SUVs and pick-up trucks as they make up 83 per cent of the top trade-ins.

It says the Volt is too little, too lateand too expensive to save the beleaguered automaker, and it recently chastised GM for pumping so much money into the Volt instead of developing more fuel-efficient gasoline cars. It offers 18 models that deliver 30 mpg or more. Thats short-sighted. GM is developing more fuel-efficient vehicles.
