But hey, did you buy your suitcase to carry things, or did you buy it to race old folks on those Terminal 3 golf cart shuttles? It also powers some USB outlets on the suitcase, meaning you could recharge your phone in a pinch. I cant imagine this does any favors to the storage space available inside of the suitcase.

Unless the EV was a golf cart, you’ll have to reconfigure the cells to deliver 48 V nominal, so don’t count on using the original BMS (which probably won’t work, anyway, without a lot of code-hacking) and you’ll still be taking the risk that the battery was abused so much that it has no real usable capacity left.

A very low cost EV is taking a golf cart transaxle or whole GC rear/seat and weld, ect a MC front end, frame, title to it, change the batteries from 6vdc to 12vdc to double the voltage and use larger dia VW Rabbit tires and you can have a nice 1- 3 person MC trike that goes 45-55mph and 50+ mile range. link] — Adam Carter 11.
