More than half of United States roadways are assigned speed limits of 35 miles per hour or less, and that number is growing constantly as more cities are lowering speed limits to increase safe, healthy and equitable mobility.

As long as they meet the regulations and can be certified as street legal, they’re allowed on nearly any road in the country that has a posted speed limit of 35 mph (56 km/h) or less. The cost of one single solitary gallon of gasoline would put around 200 to 300 miles of range into that Eli Zero, for example.
