The VinFast VF 8 is an electric SUV made for global markets with a 5-seat configuration and overall dimensions of 187.00" (length) x 76.14" (width) x 65.63" (height).

Mazda Motor Corporation will commence local assembly of the Mazda2 in Vietnam in October 2011. Sales of the locally assembled Mazda2 in Vietnam will also begin in October 2011. Mazda expects the Mazda2 to become one of its mainstay products in the Vietnamese market and plans to produce approximately 2,000 units per year.

GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) and Vietnam Daewoo Motor Company (VIDAMCO) are launching the Chevrolet Cruze in Vietnam. The new global model is based on the Lacetti Premiere sold by GM Daewoo in Korea. VIDAMCO ranks second in Vietnam’s passenger vehicle market in terms of market share (34.5%).

VinFast delivered the first 27 VF 9 all-electric SUVs to its customers at an event in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The first batch of VF 9s, produced and delivered to customers in Vietnam, has a 6-seat configuration. The delivery events took place approximately 1 year after introducing the VF 9 model to the public.
