The new Touareg will offer a range of conventional gasoline and diesel engine options, an eight-speed transmission and, on the majority of models, Stop-Start technology. The Touareg Hybrid attains a maximum speed of 240 km/h (149 mph) and accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).
