Volkswagen will introduce its new third-generation Sharan MPV (minivan) this summer. The new Sharan, which is larger than its predecessor, will offer a choice of two direct injection TSI gasoline and two TDI diesel engines that are up to 21% more fuel-efficient than the comparable engines of the outgoing model. The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric minivan has been coming to North America for a long, long time. That puts it squarely into the nascent segment of mass-market 3-row electric family utilities. On the other hand, it’s a minivan with sliding side doors. It’ll be the third electric VW sold in the States, after the ID.4
