Mazda Motor Europe unveiled its new crossover SUV, the CX-60. The CX-60 is the first of Mazda’s Large Product group models, and offers (European specification model) e-Skyactiv PHEV, Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid system featuring a 2.5-liter liter e-Skyactiv X gasoline engine, both featuring Mazda’s 48V mild hybrid system.

In Europe, Mazda announced that it will add an all-new e-Skyactiv D diesel engine to the Mazda CX-60 line-up in 2023, joining the PHEV CX-60, which is available to order now. The new diesel powertrain that will make its debut in the CX-60 is a Mazda first—a 3.3-liter mpg US with CO 2 emissions of 137g/km.

Mazda Motor Corporation will showcase the global premiere of the Mazda Takeri next-generation midsize sedan concept car at the upcoming 42 nd Tokyo Motor Show. Mazda will also hold the Japan debut of the new CX-5 crossover SUV. Both vehicles are equipped with the full array of Mazda’s SKYACTIV Technology ( earlier post ).

Mazda Motor Corporation has launched its SKYACTIV next-generation technologies—including engines, transmissions, vehicle bodies and chassis—that will begin appearing in Mazda products from 2011. Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) announced fuel economy figures for and updated pricing of its new 2014 Mazda6 midsize sedan, featuring the i-ELOOP regenerative engine braking system. The i-ELOOP equipped Mazda6 is EPA-rated at 28 city/40 highway/32 combined mpg US (8.4, Earlier post.) l/100km, respectively).
