At Plug’n Drive, we have lots of visitors come to the EV Discovery Centre , waxing poetic about electric cars, that they are the future of transportation, but they are too expensive and out of reach for most consumers. Many gas car owners believe that EVs are just too expensive. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Effective February 1, 2020, Ontario residents qualify for a new incentive of $1,000 if they scrap their old gas car and replace it with a used electric car. Combined, these two programs provide Ontario’s drivers with a total of $2,000 in potential incentives to make the switch to a used electric vehicle (EV).

The US Department of Energy (DOE) is [link] about $11 million to 20 new projects to help states and local governments to develop the infrastructure, training, and regional planning needed to help meet the demand for alternative fuel cars and trucks, including vehicles that run on natural gas, electricity, and propane.

Clean Vehicle Credit : This $7,500 credit was renamed, reshaped, and split in two parts: $3,750 if the vehicle’s battery is manufactured or assembled in North America. Additional changes include: An MSRP cap of $80,000 for vans, SUVs, and pickup trucks and $55,000 for any other vehicle. And it's more than vehicle incentives.
