Audi introduces R33 Blue Gasoline for factory fills in Germany

Many new vehicles that leave the Audi plants in Germany are delivered with R33 fuel—a blend comprising one-third renewable components. Audi plants’ filling stations transitioned to R33 Blue Diesel ( earlier post ) last year; Audi has now introduced the gasoline counterpart, R33 Blue Gasoline.

Sandia team develops gasoline-like fuel blend with high renewable content that simultaneously increases ?-sensitivity, RON, and octane sensitivity

A team at Sandia National Laboratories has designed a five-component gasoline-like blend containing 40% vol of a mixture of 2-methyl furan and 2,5-dimethyl furan (representative of products of a viable pathway to make furans from bio-feedstock).
