Of concern, the 8-year/100,000km battery warranty has expired on most for sale. One with 4000km showing is under $25k before charges.

These tiny i-MiEVs were the first EVs on sale in Australia in 2010. They barely registered a sale in Australia, but these cute little Zoes did solid numbers in Europe.

If that’s your theory then you may have to re-evaluate after Ponway, California-based Plug-In Conversions Corp (PICC) completed a software upgrade conversion kit that enables all-electric mode driving at up to 70mph in a converted Prius. The software upgrade will retail for $2,000-$2,500 and be made available for sale later this month.
