Republic deploys 67 CNG solid waste and recycling trucks in southern NJ and Philadelphia area

has brought 67 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) solid waste and recycling trucks to serve customers throughout southern New Jersey and in Philadelphia. The new CNG fleet will replace older diesel-powered trucks. Three out of every four trucks in our local fleet will be powered by natural gas by the end of this calendar year.

Philadelphia transit authority Board approves $412M purchase of 525 new hybrid buses

The Board of SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority) today approved the purchase of 525 40-foot, low-floor diesel-electric hybrid buses via a $411.8-million, SEPTA also has an option to purchase up to 25 additional buses. More than half of SEPTA's current bus fleet is made up of diesel-electric hybrids.

Clean Energy Fuels delivered 143M gallons of Redeem renewable natural gas in 2019, up 30% year-on-year

Clean Energy’s 2019 Redeem totals were bolstered by a seven-year contract with UPS for 170 million gallons to fuel their large fleet of natural gas heavy-duty trucks around the country, the largest purchase of RNG ever in the US. Philadelphia will be consuming an estimated 250,000 gallons of CNG when it reaches 43 trucks in 2021.
