Genesis calls it the “G80 Electrified,” but instead of having it cast in with a bunch of hybrids and plug-in hybrids, we at Clean Fleet Report will simply call it as it is—the G80 EV. By 2025 it will come out with no new internal combustion engine (ICE) models, then by 2030 will only sell electric cars and SUVs. Story by John Faulkner.

Zero-60 mph times are about 3.9 Wind and road noise were low, reduced in-part by acoustic laminated glass and sound deadening insulation. Starting in 2025 they will come out with no new internal combustion engine models, and by 2030 will only sell cars and SUVs powered by a battery. Added speed (and a thrill!)

This is saying something, as she has ridden in or driven many of the 800+ cars I have reviewed for Clean Fleet Report over the past 10 years. Case-in-point is the all-new GV60 EV, which followed its cousins, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (2020), and the Kia EV6 ( 2021). Clean Fleet Report has been impressed with all Genesis models.

kWh Li-ion pack enabling an electric range of up to 15 miles (24 km) at speeds of up to 62 mph (100 km/h), according to Toyota. Maximum EV speed is up to 62 mph. Significantly, the biggest change in packaging from the Prius Plug-in Hybrid test-fleet model is the smaller, more efficient battery pack in the production model.
