Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) jointly delivered four units of the electric vehicle i-MiEV to the Principality of Monaco on 15 November. regarding fleet testing of the EVs in March. and MC Automobile (Europe) N.V. Earlier post.). The i-MiEVs are being leased via MCE Bank GmbH, a subsidiary of MC.
Following a successful testing exercise conducted in December 2008, the Principality of Monaco, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Europe B.V. a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation— signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding fleet testing of Mitsubishi Motors’ i MiEV electric vehicle with the Principality of Monaco.
Businesses joining the EV20 alliance included global fleet owner TNT, auto manufacturers PSA Peugeot Citroën and Smith Electric Vehicles, battery manufacturer Johnson Controls, Better Place and Deutsche Bank. Chaired by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the alliance was formally announced at the Opening Ceremony of Climate Week NYC.
Under the MoU, the Danish government will consider introducing i-MiEVs into its fleet in or after 2011, conducting EV promotional activities and implementing EV infrastructure. MMC is already selling the i-MiEV in Japan and in Hong Kong.
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and the government of Thailand agreed to start joint study for fleet testing of electric vehicles (EV). MMC, through its local producer and distributor Mitsubishi Motors Thailand (MMTh), will begin initiatives for future market introduction of the i-MiEV.
