Moscow launches its 500th electric bus; largest electric bus fleet in Europe

London adds 300th hybrid bus introduced to fleet

London has introduced its 300 th hybrid bus into its fleet; 1,000 hybrid buses are set to be introduced in the next four years as part of the Mayor of London Boris Johnson’s plans to improve air quality. The 300th hybrid bus is now in service on route 211 between Waterloo and Hammersmith.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses entering service in London; planned fleet of 8

The first of a planned fleet of eight hydrogen fuel cell buses in London will start operating on 18 December. The buses will form the only hydrogen bus fleet in the UK and the largest currently in Europe. The buses are joining a fleet which also includes 100 hybrid buses.

TfL Board approves production order for 600 new hybrid buses for London

The Board of Transport for London (TfL) approved a production order for up to 600 of New Bus for London vehicles over the next four years. This will create the largest fleet of hybrid buses in Europe, according to TfL. The introduction of the 600 buses will reduce CO 2 emissions in London by around 20,600 tonnes a year.
