In June of that same year, the company began driving on public roads in Las Vegas in preparation for a full commercial launch. Zoox shared that it has been testing its autonomous driving fleet in San Francisco since 2017, but always with a driver present. Zoox confirmed such plans in a blog post earlier today.

Elon Musk’s Boring Company performed capacity testing in Las Vegas at its Las Vegas Convention Center Loop yesterday as the Sin City prepares to reopen with no restrictions on June 1st. u/adjudicatedmonster said the vehicles traveled around 30 MPH through turns and around 39 MPH on straightaways.

The Boring Company has opened registrations for volunteers who want to test ride the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) Loop. The Boring Company will be conducting a Vegas Loop Capacity Test with the volunteers. The tunneling company probably wants to do some final tests before it officially welcomes visitors next month. .
