The hydrogen shuttle bus. Integrated at US Hybrid’s Honolulu facility, the 25-passenger shuttle bus utilizes a 30 kW fuel cell fueled by a 20 kg hydrogen storage and delivery system. A version of the hydrogen plug-in hybrid shuttle bus, presented at SAE 2014 Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technologies Symposium.

Funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the project FlyZero began in early 2021 as an intensive research project investigating zero-carbon emission commercial flight. Other major conclusions are: Technology acceleration is key as industry and aviation can only afford one fleet refresh between now and 2050.
