The New York City Police Department has landed a Tesla Model 3 as its newest automotive fleet addition. It was added to the NYPD’s fleet of highway patrol cars last month. The NYPD acquired the Dual Motor, Long Range All-Wheel-Drive variant of the Model 3 for its fleet.

At the 2023 Indianapolis 500 on May 28 in Indianapolis, Indiana, all 33 cars will be running on Shell 100-percent renewable biofuel, using carbon neutral motor oil, and rolling on Firestone Firehawk tires made with recycled plastics. The CNG (compressed natural gas) storage held about 80,000 cubic feet of renewable natural gas.

The Hyundai Motor Group has made a $10 billion investment to build and sell electric vehicles in North America; the first is the 2023 Electrified GV70 built at the new manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama.
