Through an open and competitive RFP process, Canada Post has selected the Ford Transit Connect to begin replacing its aging national fleet of vehicles and modernize its business. In total this year, 1,175 Ford Transit Connect vans will be purchased—the largest fleet sale of Ford Transit COnnect vehicles in Canada to date.

Ford introduced two new taxis: the new 2019 Transit Connect Taxi and Ford’s most fuel-efficient, purpose-built taxi, the 2019 Fusion Hybrid Taxi. Transit Connect Taxi , when equipped with available 1.5-liter liter EcoBlue diesel engine, is targeted to return an EPA-estimated Highway rating of at least 30 mpg.

Ford has begun production of the 2014 F-150 with the gaseous fuel prep option, making Ford the only manufacturer with an available CNG/LPG-capable half-ton pickup. When equipped with a bi-fuel CNG/LPG engine package, the 3.7-liter liter V6 has an EPA-estimated rating of 23 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg combined.

Taxi Medallion Management in Chicago has purchased 12 Ford Transit Connect Taxis running on compressed natural gas (CNG) for its fleet. Since introduced as a production vehicle last year, Transit Connect Taxi is gaining interest from taxi operators around the country. The taxis have a 39-foot turning radius.
