Stimulus Package allocated for renewables? How does the private venture and financing sector view investment in CleanTech companies and what opportunities are investors looking for? And you know if I was there in person I’d also be bringing up the MORAL obligation that is a part of all of these issues.

The treasure chest was cleverly disguised in the form of Federal stimulus money from the ARRA, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Since it provides easy financing for solar PV and energy efficiency, AB 811 fits into all this like a hand-in-glove. Imagine that. A reality most people didn’t even realize existed.

One thing Ann Livingston said that stuck with me was that a 15 year term loan results in half the finance cost and one quarter of the total cost for the loan compared to a 20 year term. Another person who really wowed me was Brian Gitt of Bevilacqua Knight who spoke about Federal Stimulus money available to AB 811 programs.

My new solar system only needs to be 2 kilowatts now instead of 4 – which is good because solar’s still too damn expensive and the process for putting AB 811 financing in place is taking too damn long, (and that’s another Greenius post that I’m still working on). Just like almost everyone else we know today&#.
