So far, 160 pre-orders have been received from dealers in the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovakia. The energy storage system can temporarily store any surplus green electricity that is generated by ŠKODA dealers’ photovoltaic systems. The battery systems are financed through municipal or state subsidies.

The Fast-E project, co-financed by the European Union and nine companies, has officially launched , with the objective of installing 241 fast-charging charging stations in Germany and 37 in Belgium. A sister project between the Czech Republic and Slovakia will add another 30 charging stations.

Several European countries, including Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Romania are pushing to delay the EU’s potential ban on combustion engine powertrains in 2035. This news comes shortly after a public statement from the German Finance minister saying that Germany will oppose the 2035 combustion engine ban.
