Raser Technologies, the company behind the hybrid hummer, claims to have achieved the impossible by greening up one of the cars with the worse environmental record. For extended range I guess one could carry a fairly modest generator set in the trunk to avoid ever being stranded. Motor Trend Magazine has extensive coverage of all cars online including road tests, free videos, buying guides, etc. my idea is that it would work the way propane tanks work now.
