New Emissions Analytics study suggests pollution from tire wear now 1,850 times worse than exhaust emissions

In early 2020, UK-based independent testing firm Emissions Analytics published a study claiming that tire particulate wear emissions were 1,000 times worse than exhaust emissions ( earlier post ). As a result, distance-specific mass and number emissions can be derived, which can then be compared to equivalent tire metrics.

Auckland Transport begins 2-year trial of hydrogen bus

It has a range of some 400 km (249 miles). Auckland Transport has also advanced its zero-emissions target from its vehicle exhausts to 2030, from an earlier target of 2040, subject to council funding. The bus is fitted with a Ballard fuel cell and ZF drive system. The bus will be refuelled at the Ports of Auckland with green hydrogen.

Deutsche Post DHL Group orders up to 44 Volvo electric trucks; cooperation agreement
