New Emissions Analytics study suggests pollution from tire wear now 1,850 times worse than exhaust emissions

In early 2020, UK-based independent testing firm Emissions Analytics published a study claiming that tire particulate wear emissions were 1,000 times worse than exhaust emissions ( earlier post ). As a result, distance-specific mass and number emissions can be derived, which can then be compared to equivalent tire metrics.

Rheinmetall wins new order worth around €300M for exhaust gas recirculation modules

A well-known automaker has placed an order with Rheinmetall Group subsidiary Pierburg for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) modules, with a lifetime value of around €300 million. In the low-pressure loop, these are water-cooled poppet valves. The order encompasses low- and high-pressure EGR modules.
