The all-new Mondeo Hybrid will be the first Ford Hybrid Electric Vehicle to be manufactured in Europe alongside the gasoline- and diesel-engine Mondeo range at Ford’s facility in Valencia, Spain. Pedestrian Detection identifies people and reduces the severity of collisions at speeds of up to 80 km/h (50 mph).

Oxygen develops and markets a range of light electric vehicles and has targeted the European postal delivery service market with its zero-emission electric-powered CargoScooter. Oxygen has announced that by 2010 it expects to double its supply to Swiss Post, Correos (Spain) and Poste Norge as well as its other main institutional customers.
