VayuGrid, a biofuel supply chain company based in Bangalore, India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to create a biofuel cluster around its VayuSap, an elite, high-yield Pongamia (a leguminous, oilseed-bearing tree), in Ethiopia Africa. Ethiopia was chosen strategically based on the economics and agriculture.

Geely’s current major overseas markets include Ukraine, Russia, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Geely has set up multiple complete knock down (CKD) facilities in key markets to speed up product delivery and also lower costs for consumers. In addition, plans for new production facilities in Ethiopia and Brazil are well under way.

Indeed whilst there has been tremendous policy progress in several major markets, in some places fuel economy is actually getting worse. This represents a rate of 1.7% per year, whereas to hit the 2030 target we need a more than 3% improvement per year from 2012. 2012 is therefore a very important year.
