A ban on all petrol and diesel-powered vehicles made its way through the European Parliament on Tuesday, February 1. The EU formally approved a law that would ban the sale of combustion engine vehicles by 2035 in an attempt to accelerate consumers’ choice of electric powertrains. I’d love to hear from you!

France (down 23.9%), Slovakia (down 22.8%), Austria (down 19.7%), Portugal (down 18%), Croatia (down 12.9%) and Spain (down 11.6%) also endured double-digit decreases.

Puzzling Petrol Petrol did not fare much better than its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart in August. Volumes dropped 17.1%

Several European countries, including Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Romania are pushing to delay the EU’s potential ban on combustion engine powertrains in 2035. This news comes shortly after a public statement from the German Finance minister saying that Germany will oppose the 2035 combustion engine ban.
