Car users from the world’s least affluent cities are exposed to a disproportionate amount of in-car air pollution because they rely heavily on opening their windows for ventilation, according to a new global study led by researchers at the University of Surrey. The study was part of the Clean Air Engineering for Cities (CArE-Cities) project.
