The Morgan Motor Company is launching the three-wheeled Morgan EV3 , the company’s first production electric vehicle, at the Geneva Motor Show. Taking inspiration from 1930’s aero-engine race cars, classic motorcycles and 1950’s fantasy automatons, the face of the EV3 is designed to function.

At the Milan International Cycle and Motorbike Show, the company unveiled a three-wheel drive hybrid scooter concept known as the Hybrid3 Evolution. It is roofless and includes electric motors in each of the two front wheels as well a naturally aspirated engine at the rear.

Though occasionally derided here in the UK, scooters retain vast appeal throughout Europe where the Piaggio Group has now introduced the MP3 Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid version of its MP3 three-wheeled scooter. A full charge takes approximately three hours.

Piaggio launches hybrid scooter 02 Aug 2007 Italian manufacturer Piaggio , the maker of Vespa , has launched an environmentally friendly hybrid scooter by mechanically and electronically linking a traditional combustion engine with an electric motor. There is a battery charge indicator on the respective dashboards.
