The Model 3 quickly outsold other big players such as the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe, despite being more expensive and only available for a short amount of time. Conversely, registrations were up by a huge 36% in Romania, due to the Government’s scrappage scheme in Q4-18, which led to an increase in vehicle deliveries in Q1-19.

The Government’s car scrappage scheme has got off to a flying start as the end of its first week draws to a close. According to Hyundai in the first week after the scrappage scheme was announced as part of the Budget report, enquiries at the company’s dealerships shot up by 400 per cent.
