Renault and Netherlands-based Athlon Car Lease International will cooperate in the joint delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV)-solutions to their mutual clients. Athlon’s and Renault’s partnership aims at making zero-emission vehicles available to as many people as possible, starting in 2011. Athlon supports Renault’s EV project.

Pilot schemes will begin almost straightaway, with 20 Elektrobay units to be installed in the country by the end of the year with further rollouts planned in 2010. Elektromotive has also exported its technology to the Netherlands, Iceland, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Germany and Sweden.
