If you’re CATL, you can sell in mass quantities to GM and Ford. They’re building a massive site with onsite generation, solar+storage, which is important within the Megawatt Charging System. So now they think maybe they don’t need a 500-mile range, maybe they can get by with 300. It’s less time and effort.

Roev, which stands for renewable optimised electric vehicles, has detailed plans to build electric utes, initially starting with Toyota Hiluxes and Ford Rangers converted to electric and eventually branching out to a ute designed and engineered in Australia.
