Leading provider of electric vehicle recharging bays, Elektromotive, has been selected as one of the UK companies to trial the new electric version of the smart fortwo. The information will be evaluated by smart as it moves towards small series production of the smart electric drive in 2010.

UK-based Elektromotive introduced EBConnect—a tool for monitoring and invoicing electricity drawn from vehicle charging stations—at EVS 24.
